• Clips: Both fit tight and hold securely with good spring tension.
• Chain: Sound throughout with a functioning clasp. No stretching, kinks, or repairs noted.
• Tarnish: Consistent with age and normal storage on sterling silver.

WHY THIS PIECE

• Complete Peretti sets are the hard part. Single Thumbprint pieces turn up regularly, but a matching pendant and earring pair that have stayed together is far less common.
• The Thumbprint is one of Peretti's purest ideas — an impression pressed into the material, the human hand left visible in the finished object.
• Black jade is the scarcer stone in this design. Most examples surface in plain silver, and the dark stone against polished silver gives the set considerably more presence.
